Hi,

Mark drove up to Birmingham tonight completely stressed and exhausted. Tomorrow he is speaking to no less than 350 people!

He was working until 12.30AM on Friday night and most of the weekend so we've hardly seen him..

He seems slightly happier now he has it all perfected and just needs to deliver it tomorrow and then will drive home..

He did lose 3lbs already so that is good although apparently he went to Pizza Epress for dinner tonight, now why am I not surprised!? LOL

Much love,

Amanda

Hi Amanda

I don't know much about the people who use this forum but your threads always stick out. lol (in a good way)

What does your hubbie do then to be talking to so many people? I can just about manage a class of 30 schoolchildren!!! You must miss him while he's away. I hope it goes well for him.
take care
Chris

Hi Chris,

Thanks for the kind message!

Mark is currently the course author although he seems to have a great gift for talking publicly, something he never thought he would have! He is also a computer programmer/consultant and he is talking to software developers about his company's products. They are a huge mapping company- all the maps the Police use, the MOD, many NHS departments, all use their maps! They also work with google maps...

The ironic thing is that Mark has the worst sense of direction I have ever known and on his very first day there he managed to get lost! LOLOL

He is also a writer and has written for dozens of magazines etc..he loved it but it couldn't feed all 7 of us so he returned to full time employment two and a half years ago and we miss him desperately during the day and he is away TOO much!

I saw you are a classroom assistant, that must be a challenging and fulfilling job. I am sort of one too! LOL

Love,

Amanda

oooh, a GIS specialist! lucky man, absorbing, but yes very demanding on having all angles and details covered. I used to be one o' them folk as part of my last main job. I set up training with the LSHTM to use our HPA London surveillance data, block trainging the staff and then setting up self help groups. We got some good outputs. Though i never persuaded thames water to release any of the data we needed, I just wasn't that good or there long enough. Sigh.

Hi Amanda
7 of you????????????

OMG

Yes you really have a class of your own there girl!! I'm not a classroom assistant (That went out years ago) I'm a Teaching Assistant, well I don't like to brag but I'm a Higher Level TA. The first one in our school. lol

A classroom asistant helps around the classroom doing little jobs to assist the teacher and pupils. Being a teaching assistant means I teach the class. I have the whole class without any assistance one day a week also. I teach Literacy, Numeracy and French (Very badly) Oh and art. I love drama so I incorporate a bit of it in anywhere I can. The children love it! They call me a 'Drama Queen' How very Dare They!!!

Anyway your husband sounds a very busy guy, but then you're not having an easy time with your lot. How old are they all? Sorry to be so nosey.

Hopefully, he'll be back soon and you can have a big cuddle.
Take care

Talk about hardly slept - mine is away a lot as well at mo. And i have real probs sleeping because without him there I roll over onto my right side loads, and wake up ARRRGGGHHH OOOUUUUCCCCHHHH from pain in right shoulder. When he is there he is like some somnolent human bolster who stops me doing it and i sleep the night through:)

He certainly makes a solid human bolster Franky but he does snore rather loudly, which is why I am offering him for one night so that I can get a good night's sleep!LOL

Any reasonable offer accepted!

Amanda, I guess I'll have to come out in solidarity and drink more wine and eat more chocs to keep you company..... we could have a cyberspace sleepover as I've not been sleeping well over the past few nights?

Re - Mark's weightloss, have you heard of Red Yeast Rice (Hong Qu, Chinese herb), a natural Statin which lowers cholesterol? I know of a number of people including myself who have been able to bring cholesterol levels down below 5 and within a short period of time.

Love,

Barbara

OH don't go Franky, LOL ...I was astounded when you wrote GIS consultant...finally someone else knows what his job means! LOL I look at him with absolute devotion when he talks to me about it but have NO CLUE what he is talking about! ha ha (I am a good actress!)

He does love it but (I really sound boastful here but he is the most modest man in the universe) he is very talented in too many different areas and hence all the departments want him! he has this great mixture of very techy guy and fabulous orator and salesman...so whenever he has gone for a really academic type job, he is usally also asked to do pre-sales too which I am not saying is easier but just not really where his heart is......

Actually his heart is in running his own second hand book shop and sitting in the back all day reading and drinking fresh coffee! LOL

LOVE,

Amanda
